Surgery Day Friday!

Hi all. Can't believe it's actually here. Wow, a lot of hoops to jump through to get to this point. I've had some pretty bad anxiety this week, but ready to begin the next chapter. I've lost 9 pounds in the past two months, so feel good about keeping the momentum going. I want to say thanks to all you folks here on OFF for sharing your experiences and support -- this would be much more difficult without you. It's always so comforting to check in on this site and find y'all waiting here. I love following your journeys. The support you give each other (and me) is so reassuring -- it's wonderful to watch the threads of sincere love and concern as challenges and triumphs are shared; geography and other differences become insignificant as we meet each other on our common ground -- coping with, and overcomming obesity. After the surgery I'll be looking forward to checking OFF to see how y'all are doing. Marilyn W., Memphis

Marilyn, good luck on your surgery, and get ready for you the road trip of your life. And what a wonderful trip it is too!! You are going to love every moment of it.  I am keeping you in my prayers for your surgery and for a quick and pain free recovery. Please keep us posted on how things are going. Don't forget to take the chapstick to the hospital with you~your lips are going to get really dry. Just remembe to sip and walk and sip and walk and things will go great.
